Integrated Recognition Imaging Services™
The Vision:
IRiS is a video Imaging service built on top of the Xerial (ERPe) client interface, using the recordable 1d and 2d barcode function to showcase opt-in video responses of a candidate who may be applying for a position/job. The module provides instant visualization for an applicant skillset while representing a field operation or where team evaluation may be made prior to spending resources on traveling to face to face meetings.
This is candidate opt-in application that should never be used for discriminatory practices, based upon EEOC policies and regulations that define discriminatory behavior used during the interviewing process.
The platform is fully EEOC compliant and requires acknowledgement of EEOC policy where forms of discrimination based upon person’s race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information is not acceptable.
- The technology should be easy to implement for applicants, which show skill and direction.
- Should be done at a minimal cost while accelerating the application process.
- Should be relevant for many different job openings across multiple industries.
- Should be accessible from any smartphone or desktop computer with access to an imaging device, regardless of OS.

The Technology:
IRiS is built on top of the Xerial (ERPe) system that utilizes extensible modules on top of a variety of frameworks. IRiS is built using Laravel, Yii2, Restful API’s, PHP and Python. Which means the complete runtime and backend are built over the HTTP2 and HTML5 standards, database supported are both MySQL, MongoDB, dBase as well as additional SQL variants.
By taking this approach, IRiS is capable of running in a decentralized Internet linked container or through the web browser itself, regardless of Mobile OS or Computer system OS. Universal formats allow for ease of integration to virtually any environment and the extensible architecture enabled the modules and extension to future proof the application.
Our API’s run on any OS that support web services, whether Linux, MacOS or Windows machines, as well as iOS and Android based operating systems for mobile and their extended operating systems.
Talent Acquisition Modeling
iris has three interviewer components that make up the environment.
- Administrator interface for scripting questions you would like to have your candidate answer.
- This can include questions related to Interest Level, Q&A sessions for testing skillsets, pressure techniques to see how the candidate performs, task sets to see if the candidate responds to followup tasks.
- This visual interface sets the questions up to allow the candidate the appropriate time to answer each question or task right from the recording interface built-into the app.
The iris™ Framework is designed to be a set of comprehensive tools that are built around a vendor-specific model for the entire talent acquisition lifecycle.
Experienced hiring managers know that the recruiting process requires a complex understanding of a candidate’s profile and to be able to recognize the decision processes and requires a specific understanding of talent requirements.
There are no shortcuts to the tried and true hiring process. Just reductions in the amount of wasted time, travel expenses and cost of candidate acquisition for any requisition. A candidate who has specific skill sets in say a “transitory industry” can rarely advance in an industry hiring model related to a non-transitory sales process.
The larger generic sites can flood your inbox with unqualified candidates or iris™ can shorten the process and expenses related to a predefined target acquisition based on proven methods where the technology is used to shorten the hiring process at a much reduced cost.
The iris Applicant Mobile User Interface consists of a portal screen where the candidate can see themselves in a video viewer or have a friend / family member record the interview with questions that have been preset by the interviewer.
When each questions is answered within the specified time, the candidate can submit their answers by embedding a barcode graphic that is imported as a ping, tiff, jpg, directly into their resume.
As part of ASK®, (Applicant Survival Kit) the applicant may use the platform to practice interview techniques to become more engaged with video-based interviewing techniques by following suggestions that are dynamically generated by the app.
The output barcode format enables the Applicant to participate in ,multiple interviews by submitting their resumes to hiring managers or HR when applying for a job opening.
1d or 2d barcode:
The barcode is for Opt-in authorization to view materials, the code on the right is a link to the candidates Resume and answers to interview questions.
Opt-In Authorization simply means the candidate authorizes a single or multiple authority to view his her her content while the QR Code holds a link to the data-store to view the content.
Should the applicant revoke the right to view content, there is no longer access to the data store the QR Code links to.
Buit-in Print Function
Iris has designed a built-in print function that enables the applicant/candidate to print a 1d or 2d barcode that links to the data-store of the video interview. This feature is critical for the hiring entity to integrate the viewing functions into their own systems.
The recordable barcode is instantly recognized by the Xerial (ERPe) scan function that uses the camera on a smartphone to read in data to the requestor, unlocking access to the data-store location and managing the stream of content to the interviewers smart device.
The Print Interface:
The iris print interface enables output to step-by-step assembly of content for output to any of the 29 – 1 dimensional or 2 dimensional barcode formats to tie existing registered content to printed retail products or dynamic codes that can be added in a variety of formats.
Output of content links to 1d and 2d barcodes where iris incorporates the PISC codes into each printed or electronic resume.
Output your PISC in over 29 barcode formats
When targeting industry with links to product information stores including product info, service descriptions, marketing, audio or video presentation, and document distribution, Xerial Assembler formats your product serial code into most barcodes in todays marketplace and future-proofs that data access in tomorrows future development, supporting the output of your PISC in the following 1d and 2d barcodes AI/ML supported formats.
Formatting Resume:
The iris UI enables the cross extension for placing the barcode image into any compatible Image UI supported application framework. The enterprise suite includes access to the api with extensions built for Word, Outlook, mail, pdf and text based documents.
Each barcode image can be imported as a JPEG, PNG, Bitmap, PDF, EPS, TIFF, into virtually most modern desktop applications. The iris platform includes formatting guides for the best results.
Each barcode requires the iris api to be either integrated into the Hiring company app or can be viewed in the Xerial (ERPe) application, provided at no cost for Android and iOS compatible devices.
